President’s Message
President Chaitra Mukund shares her thoughts on building a greener, more connected neighbourhood and strengthening the spirit of community at SRWA.
Dear Residents,
A neighbourhood is more than a collection of houses, it is a living, breathing community shaped by the people who call it home. At SRWA, we don’t just aim to maintain clean streets and green avenues; we aim to build a space where people feel connected, involved, and proud to belong.
Over the past few months, I’ve been reminded of how strong our community spirit truly is.
Our plogging drive began as a simple civic initiative, but it became much more: a morning of shared purpose, conversations, exercise, and the satisfaction of doing something meaningful together. It showed that caring for our surroundings is something we all deeply value.
The Sadashivanagar Carnival brought that same spirit in a different way. Seeing families participate, children form new friendships through the Kids Club, and neighbours reconnect in a joyful setting was heartening. It wasn’t just an event, it was a reminder that community bonding is just as important as civic responsibility.
As we look ahead, my vision for SRWA is simple: to balance progress with warmth. I want our children to feel safe and inspired here, our seniors to feel respected and heard, and every family to experience the strength of supportive neighbourly bonds.
But the future of SRWA will not be shaped by a committee alone, it will be shaped by all of us.
I invite each one of you to participate actively, to share your ideas, volunteer your time, and take ownership of our shared spaces. Every effort counts.
The future of SRWA is not something we wait for. It is something we build together.
Warm regards,
Chaitra Mukund
President, SRWA
